Original CALCARD INSULATION & CONTINUITY CALIBRATION CHECKER
 
It is important that your test instrument provides accurate measurements and provides consistant readings.
 
The Calcard is a credit card size device that can help to verify the continuity and insulation resistance has not drifted over a period of time.
 
The range of known source fixed resistances built within the Calcard enables you to verify the readings of your test instrument(s) against the manufacturer’s specification quickly and accurately.
 
Such a flexible device simplifies the verification process and reduces the necessity for sending test instrument(s) off for calibration. 
 
There are five insulation test resistance values: 0.5M, 1M, 2M, 10M and 20MΩ (tested to 1500V). It also features continuity measurement ranges of 0.25Ω, 0.5Ω, 1Ω, 2Ω and 5Ω.
 
Confirming the operation of electrician’s insulation and continuity test instruments is necessary under Regulation 4(2) ‘Systems, work activities and protective equipment’ of the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.
