Updated to the NEW BS 5266-1: 2025 version
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires the ‘responsible person’ for a premises to ensure that all fire safety facilities, equipment and devices are maintained in efficient working order and in good repair.
This references BS5266 Part 1 as the minimum Standard that emergency lighting systems should conform to and requires a comprehensive system of checking, maintaining and repairing all fire safety equipment on an on-going and regular basis .
